With over 19 years in the technology industry, Deb Liu has been named one of Business Insider’s Most Powerful Engineers and PaymentsSource’s Most Influential Women in Payments. Before joining Ancestry as President and CEO, she was a senior executive at Facebook, where she created and ran the Facebook Marketplace, a platform for millions of people to buy from and sell to each other. She also led the development of Facebook’s first mobile advertising product for apps and its mobile advertising network, as well as building the company’s gaming business and payments platform, including Facebook Pay. Prior to Facebook, she spent several years in product roles at PayPal and eBay, where she led the integration between the two products. She is a member of the board of directors of Intuit and Ancestry and is an initial investor and advisor to several start-ups. Additionally, she holds several patents related to payments and commerce. Actively involved in promoting diversity in technology, Deb founded Women In Product, a nonprofit organization with over 30,000 members, with the goal of connecting and supporting women in the product management field. She is a member of the Committee of 100, a group of prominent Chinese Americans. Gold House named her an A100, an honor that recognizes influential Asian-Americans.
